Reviews [02 Oct 2006|03:44pm]

Just in case you've not seen these!

From the Sun review (never thought I’d be writing that!) that gave 4 out of 5 for the new album, and a couple of links:

Before anything else, thank you Ezio Lunedei for one of the best putdowns of the year. "He sings like Stephen Hawking and he'll play like captain hook".
Pity the poor object of his attention, whoever he is.
The line comes from a song that drips with pedal steel and wit, the title track of his Cambridge- based bands new album.
There’s plenty of invigorating widescreen Americana on offer, a smattering of lo-fi indie rock and a few folky, introspective acoustic ballads.
It all hangs together because Ezio can sing ( not unlike Ryan Adams) and he sure can write.

I saw this new picture of Ezio when I followed this link and listened to the song.

I think it's a great pic, but I'm still in shock over the Reverend's hair. I much prefer it the way it is in my icon! I will be telling him this, of course ;0)

And here are some dates to keep us smiling :0)

Damn, I tried to post these being clever and it didn't work.  So here are the old fashioned links to the Ezio videos on YouTube.  Look out for the guitar on the top of the Fiat 500 in the first one :0)

woohoo! so who's up for this? [28 Jun 2006|12:20pm]

Friday 29 September 2006, 8:30pm
Venue: Music Venue
Type: Live Music: Acoustic
Age restrictions: 14+

Another welcome return to Cox's for dynamic duo Ezio. They play deep, honest emotional songs that hit a raw nerve, together with a breathtaking live performance. Doors 7.30pm-1.30am Entry £9.00 Advance £11.00 Door

Acoustic guitars? No samples or loops? Sounds a bit like an anachronism for 2006, doesn't it? But what is provided by Ezio Lunedei (singer/guitarist) and Mark "Booga" Fowell (guitarist), is nothing less than an anachronism, but one of the most innovative and freshest phenomena of the music market.

One of the main reasons for all of this success is their incredible live show, which often leaves the audience with shiny eyes and in an unbelievably enthusiastic mood. But far from this being a dreamy introverted songwriter show, you need to imagine two mad men playing Rock 'n Roll on acoustic guitars !! This powerful and exciting show is tempered with beautiful ballads, tales of longing, aching love, which have the disconcerting habit of catching you unaware with a line you could have written yourself, had you been able to put these deeply buried feelings into words

Please note you must be 14 or over to gain admittance to this event.

I saw Booga in town yesterday. He was looking well, said the studio work's going well and was just off to Clowns for a coffee. My mate Rob couldn't believe who he was when I told him afterwards.

Mark text me to tell me that Nizlopi are at number one. We saw them support Ezio at Cox's Yard last year. Mark described them in his text as 'quirky' and I'd agree with him. I've not heard the song so I can't really comment on it

Ezio Car Stickers [29 Sep 2004|09:47am]

If you have been reading the forum you will know about my proposed sticker venture. Well I was approached by Salami and I've been in email contact with Lisa about the stickers. It looks likely that she will take over the idea and get them produced from their end. This means they will be sold in the online shop and at gigs. I'd be pleased if this happened really, far easier for me and no initial financial outlay. I also think that "official" merchandise is better.
